I love that being positive has become trendy. Sometimes, though, we want to think we are positive when we are not. We hide and deny our negativity. These emotions are not to be denied; they give us awareness of what we want to change in life. However, many times we are negative when it's not necessary. Think about how we think when we are driving, waiting in line, dealing with email, and so on. We need to notice our thoughts, and then we can change them. It's a constant process all day, every day. It sounds tedious, but take the edge off and make it into a game. See how many times you can catch a negative thought. Make becoming a positive person a fun experience!
Remember: Don't beat up yourself for negativity or feel superior because you are positive. As you can see, we all have negative thoughts.
