Find the Good

Do you believe your thoughts create your reality? If so, what do you complain about often? We think we're positive, but research states that 70% of our thoughts are negative AND we have an average of 30,000 thoughts a day! For those of you who don't think you complain, think again. Your thoughts in your mind are full of complaints all day long.

We aren't as positive as we think.

I have been working on catching my thoughts for years now, and every day I find myself complaining within my head about myself, others, or my environment. Today I caught myself complaining about traffic, not having enough time, too many texts and emails, the price of a graphic designer, my schedule, the beach being packed with tourists this weekend, etc. I never said any of this aloud, but they were in my head. These are complaints.

However, each time I had those thoughts, I thought of something different or shifted to something good about the situation. I often remind myself of what my higher power is thinking? Often my higher power is laughing because it's not a big deal. LOL. Then I feel lighter, and I find the good in the situation or think about something better.

Start noticing your thoughts. There are so many of them, and you won't catch them all. But you need to start making it a practice. If you don't, then you're perpetuating realities that you have the power to change.
