How many times do we go about our day and deal with people that annoy us? It may be the drivers on the road, it may be a complaining friend, it may be a stranger at the supermarket, or it may be someone that hurt us; and how do we react in these situations? Sometimes we say something snarky, rude, or if we don't say anything, we may be rolling our eyes. Catch these thoughts and before you respond ask yourself "What's the kindest way to respond?" Not from a being the bigger person point of view, but from putting kindness ahead of your ego.
Even if you don't say anything, make sure your thought about the situation is kind. Why should we do this? Well, when we are kind, it feels better. When we feel better, we stress less. It makes life easier. Plus, don't you think the world needs more kindness?
Let's train ourselves to be kinder each day. Our lives and the world will be better for it.
