A Better Way to Reduce Stress

Self-Compassion is the ability to notice your negative self-talk, stop the criticism, and understand that nobody is perfect, so it's ok if you aren’t either. It means being kinder in the way you talk to yourself. Being less self-critical doesn't lead to laziness. In fact, self-compassion also is proven to increase motivation, but that info is for another day.

Today let's focus on the fact that self-compassion reduces stress levels. Let's be real, many of our worries are about how inadequate we are in one way or another. Being self-compassionate was a game changer for me. When I stopped doubting myself and beating myself up all day for what I hadn't accomplished, my life changed for the better in ALL ways. Health-wise, the more consistent I was with self-compassion over the years, the fewer colds I had. No joke.

Self-compassion has numerous benefits, and it's a cornerstone of the EASE approach I created. It's part of the step where you STRENGTHEN your thinking. Self-Compassion is integral to creating EASE in your life. Life is too short to be hating on ourselves all day. Ease up on yourself, you're amazing. I love you all and have a great weekend!
