Initiate Small Acts of Love

Today's spiritual challenge is in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and his quote, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." I see many people posting this quote, and I am glad that people resonate with it. Now let's put it into action. This challenge is a SMALL start to showing love. I definitely think love is full of action, but start with the intention of sending love on a consistent basis. Don't you think this is the first step? Once we initiate and send more love to those we dislike, then won't our actions change towards them?

Now think about if we show true love in the form of actions and words to those we dislike, don't you think their reactions, actions, and words might change? Think about when you are being ridiculed, don't you stop listening? However, when someone comes to you with love and shows you your wrongdoings at the same time, aren't you more prone to listen? It makes sense.

Let's honor Martin Luther King Jr. today by actually feeling and sending love to drive out hate.
