Make Your Reaction a Reflection of Your Higher Power

Do you react to someone from a place of fear, hurt, anger, or insecurity? Or do you respond from a place of inner peace and kindness? ⁣

Use this challenge to increase your kindness. ⁣

Life is easier when I follow this challenge. But I'm human, and I had moments recently where I faltered and was not kind at the moment. I'm good at using guilt. Thankfully I don't use it as much as I used to, but sometimes it comes out when I feel hurt by someone close to me. I'm aware of it as soon as I use it and apologize. ⁣

Making someone feel guilty isn't going to help change the situation. It only makes the other person dislike themselves more, and that isn't conducive to real change. ⁣

I use this challenge when I'm in conflict, not to condone someone's actions, but to help myself. It helps me chill, it soothes me, and it helps create more inner peace. I work on taking a step back and remembering to look at this person how the higher power would. ⁣

I do this not to overlook what someone has done or said, but to remind myself that my reaction is a reflection of me.⁣

What's a better reaction than a reaction that's a reflection of your higher power working through you? ⁣
