You Can't Be a Critical Thinker if Your Beliefs are Static

How do you become a critical thinker if you never allow your beliefs to be swayed? How do we change ourselves if our beliefs stay the same? Doesn't change happen when you start to think differently? Think about it. In this world, it feels comfortable to gravitate towards and follow people who only have the same beliefs we do. What's that doing to us? It keeps us farther apart from one another and how's that helping our world?

How do we make a personal change when our inner beliefs go against those changes? The biggest blocks I see in my clients are the beliefs that they hold. Once they change their beliefs, their emotions and actions change, and their lives are better for it.

Become a critical thinker or a free thinker. There's not one person on the planet that I agree with on every subject. That's what makes us all unique. I don't ask you to agree with everything I write, all I ask is that you think about it. See if it makes sense and if it resonates with you.

Be open to listening without judgment to people's views that are different than yours. Not necessarily to change your beliefs but to at least gain more understanding. This is critical thinking.

Don't you think that our world and ourselves will be better if we all used our critical thinking skills a little bit more? Do your research on different viewpoints because if your beliefs never change, how free is your thinking?

Be fluid in your beliefs.
