Build Your Compassion

We all make mistakes, don't we? I can't even begin to count or remember how many times I have made mistakes in relationships with family, friends, or colleagues. Sometimes I forgot important things, sometimes I made rude comments, sometimes I misunderstood something that was said, and the list goes on. However, when I started forgiving myself for my own mistakes and accepted my imperfections, I began to do the same for others. That's when my relationships went to a deeper level.

Of course, sometimes people make mistakes, and we may need to let go of them, but if we do, remember to let go with love.

Think about all the mistakes you have made in your life and forgive yourself for them. No one is perfect, right? Now think about others and cut them some slack and they will do the same for you. This is how you "don't sweat the small stuff." Your compassion will grow, you will have less drama, and you will have less stress. What's better than that?
