Remind Yourself that You Do Get Things Done

Why look back at your last day? A lot of us start our days off with a long to-do list, and we begin the day overwhelmed. Or we end our days being overwhelmed. Let's change that.

We are overwhelmed because we always fail to see how much work we actually completed. We don't have enough hours in the day, and we continuously focus on the next task that we need to finish. It keeps us in a cycle of feeling like we never accomplish enough. This isn't reality. That's why we need to take a few minutes each day to write down what we did get done and give ourselves a mental high five. Then look at this list before you start your tasks for the next day. By doing so, you're reminding yourself that you can tackle all that is ahead of you because you did the day before.

Take the 5 minutes at the end and start of each day and be your own cheerleader. It's a small amount of time that gives you the boost you need and deserve. The perk is that this little boost each day will make you more productive.
